First Attorney Consultation

The goal of the initial consultation is to gain and receive information. You will not be pressured to make immediate decisions or to take action without proper preparation, so try to relax. You are welcome to bring someone with you to lend moral support or provide important details, however, please be aware that while your relationship with Ms. Zacharias is protected by the attorney-client privilege, that privilege can be waived by the presence of the third party. We have a special area in the waiting room for well-behaved children and we have enjoyed meeting various pet dogs, cats, a lizard, a ferret and, on one occasion, a pet tarantula named Nancy Kerrigan.

What to bring to the initial appointment? For domestic cases, it is helpful but not necessary to bring the following: paystubs (yours and your spouse’s), tax returns, mortgage and tax statements, 401K and account statements and bill statements including vehicle payment information.

You will be instructed as to the amount of your consultation fee. We accept cash, personal checks, debit cards and the following credit cards: MasterCard, VISA and Discover. Telephone consultations may be scheduled by prior arrangement.
