Ms. Zacharias is a 1982 graduate of Ohio Northern University with a B.A. in English and Journalism and a 1986 graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law. While engaging in the private practice of law, she has also served as a contract attorney for the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office and for the Cabarrus County Department of Social Services.

A native of Butler, Ohio, Ms. Zacharias has resided in the State of North Carolina for over 30 years. The Southern priority of family and friendship coupled with the small town warmth of Cabarrus County have won her heart and loyalty, but don’t malign The Ohio State Buckeyes or you will see a less genteel side of her.

Ms. Zacharias resides in Cabarrus County with her husband, Tom Zacharias, her son, Andrew Zacharias, and her daughter, Rebecca Zacharias. The true residents of the home are the cats and dogs who have adopted the family.
